A: Feeling overwhelmed is completely normal! It’s actually a great sign that you’re learning something new. Our coaches are here to guide you through it, and you’ll feel more comfortable as you continue. Remember, Muay Thai is a journey—take it at your own pace!

Q: I’m worried about being a beginner in a class full of people with experience?

Our experienced members and coaches are always there to offer help and encouragement without judgment, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident. Everyone started at zero, and we’re here to guide you through your journey!

Q: Do you offer a grading system at Diamond Muay Thai?

A: Traditional Muay Thai training in Thailand has never followed a formal ranking or grading system like the belts seen in martial arts such as karate or Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The emphasis has always been on developing skill, gaining fight experience, and showing respect for the art. Muay Thai practitioners earned their status through their experience in the ring and their performance, gaining recognition and respect from coaches, peers, and the community.

In recent years, however, some gyms outside of Thailand—along with a few within the country—have introduced a ranking system to provide a different progression, particularly in Western countries. These modern grading systems are not part of traditional Muay Thai culture.

At Diamond Muay Thai, we continue to focus on the traditional focus of skill, experience, and respect over formal rankings. We do not use a grading system but are always looking for ways to evolve and improve the training experience. Our main goal is to help you master the techniques, build resilience, and enhance your fitness and life, all while progressing at your own pace.

We look forward to seeing you on the mats!
